I don't know of any popular game that's sustained only by donations. Donations just are not reliable at all. Sure, there's some games that get $100k from kickstarters, but after the money runs out in a year, what are they to do then? You need some kind of revenue model if you ever want to have something become what you dream it can be. Or else you're just going to be stuck working on it a few days a week for a few hours because you're busy working a full time job. Some people are content with doing that though, and I suspect Adynathos is one of them. There are some great games that have came out from one/two-man developers just working on it in their spare time (see this, but it takes a long, long time to reach the finish line. I don't expect the standalone to even be considered fun to play for the next two years. But hey, it's 2015, and we're still on a forum about a WC3 game, so what's another 2 years, right?

good post by myll
as standalones have come and gone the way to tackle it this time is definitely to keep everything that isn't the immediate game itself an afterthought. like funds and advertisement/hype and so on. this is looking at past projects which have never passed a v1.0 milestone. that way hearts won't be broken when adynathos loses his motivation and gives up like a gargantuan quitter
I wan !!!!!!i love this game 5year alrd !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!pls !!!!gogogo
let warlock go to competiotion in world !!!!!!!!!!!!!!let everyone know this game and love this game
Yes, I am interested! I believe you can do it and many people will help you if needed.
Make it free to play in Steam. But to unlock inquisitor and another ones ppl have to pay. Pretty sure it'll be a successful game.
Hello !
Is there any news about it ? Is the project dead ?
Really looking forward this game Thanks for the response 🙂
It would be incredible if Warlock becomes independent
